Withings Pulse

The Withings Pulse is a great little device for fitness fanatics. The gadget is pocket-sized, yet powerful enough to prove itself to be a successful activity tracking tool, allowing you to monitor your weight goals and health targets. The device shows the user's heart rate, coupled with automatic detection of when a run sequence is engaged. This in turn counts the number of steps, distance covered, calories burned, elevation, and not to mention the quality of sleep.

The sleep readings are most likely to be based on the technology of modern phone applications, monitoring how regularly you move in your sleep and calculating the total amount of quality deep sleep you are achieving on a nightly basis.

The Pulse can synchronize with any smartphone via a Bluetooth connection, where exists a Health Mate App which converts all your data and displays it in a real time format.

The Withings Pulse weighs only 8 grams and is 1.69 inches, allowing easy portability in your pocket, bag or a belt clip. A touch display resides in the front, which you can utilise to navigate through the numerous screens using your finger. It stores up to a fortnight's worth of data, but any additional data must be accessed from the App. A heart rate sensor is positioned on the back of the device - any by placing your finger on this section - a reading will be taken.

The Pulse is a great, compact tool for anyone who takes their health seriously. The device is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone4, iPhone 4S, iPhone5, iPad, iPad touch 4th generation, iPod touch 5th generation and Android devices running 2.3.3 or higher.
